Trying to be

Trying to make my parents proud, in vain, tiring myself out to death because trying to make my parents happy.
Trying to get their attention, their approval. But somehow forced to admit that no matter how much money I make, how much people I've had in my #yoga class, how perfect my new lover might be, how many languages I speak:
Never really satisfied, never really good enough.

My parents, they are kick ass. ⚡️
They are the most #generous#loving kind, #thoughtful people on the freaking #planet (SO not biased...). But of course you understand I am not just talking about MY parents, but also THEIR parents, YOUR parents, OUR PARENTS.

THIS relationship that only seeks one thing: #Healing. ✨

How many sets of #beliefs we hold for true is #unbelievable. Some people will spend their whole freaking #LIFE trying to please their parents, by pursuing careers or relationships that don't really fulfill them. 💔
Circling around into this Not-so-epic-pattern:
"People Pleasing - Approval Seeking - Addiction Punishing".
Living out of the illusion of security, uncomfortable under their skin because not answering their own call, their own #mission, their life's #purpose

Just the thought of it give me shivers.

God bless, there is a way.

Fights will keep coming up, again and again, until we finally remember, what had been forgotten for some time, and maybe even lifetimes: That we are PERFECTLY... PERFECT.

It's Monday, Wake up.

Why I don't believe in GOD

"Humans want to know what life is about and what the heck they are doing here.
So humans created religions and gods to answer those questions.
God is human's invention.
Conclusion: God does not exist" - Anouk, 2014.

I wrote this on paper a few years back, in between 2 surf lessons.
I was so proud of my theory, I shared it with my Christian friend because I wanted to challenge him with my badass theory. 😎
He laughed out softly "Yeah, yeah Anouk whatever..."

There was no way I could believe in God, it would be so fake and weird. I mean the only time I believed in a man in the sky with a beard was Santa Clauses, and guess how that turned out... ! 🎅🏻😭

What I didn't know at the time was that, by questioning those beliefs about God, I was also knocking at the door of my own spiritual awakening.✨I asked to be shown, I asked for Truth. And God... was I given!!!! 😂

The blessing was that I didn't BLIND FAITH (so dangerous and disempowering!)
On the contrary, I had the COURAGE to challenge and to question the whole God taboo.

Does God exists?

I'm here to find that out.
